Stephanie DiLorio helps couples and individuals make important decisions and navigate transitions in their relationships and intimate lives. She views change as an opportunity for healing and growth, and loves supporting clients as they create and adapt to changes in their lives.
Stephanie’s work with couples and individuals is grounded in attachment and systems theories. She helps couples strengthen connection and communication, shift negative interaction cycles, heal attachment wounds. She also assists couples navigating divorce and coparenting. Stephanie supports couples with a variety of sexual concerns, including low/absent desire, desire discrepancy, and life transitions that often impact sexuality such as birth, parenting, midlife, and adult caregiving. She helps clients connect with the erotic and cultivate its expression in daily and intimate life.
Stephanie offers discernment counseling to support distressed couples experiencing significant ambivalence about their relationship. She helps each member of the couple evaluate their options, including maintaining the status quo, separation or divorce, or couple therapy, and develop clarity about their decision. She provides couples guidance and resources to move forward with confidence into the next phase of their relationship.
Stephanie supports individuals through personal and relational shifts connected to partnering, marriage, parenting, coparenting, religion, divorce, and separation. She also helps women through perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause, and in preparation for and recovery from gynecological procedures and surgeries.
Stephanie prioritizes building an authentic relationship with each client. She brings creativity and humor to her work. Stephanie has received clinical training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Discernment Counseling, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition to her training and clinical experience, she draws from her business experience in the United States and Germany, journey through periods of significant change, and meditation practice.
Stephanie is currently under the supervision of Erika Pluhar, PhD, EdS, LMFT, LPC, CST-S.
