Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.
– Brené Brown

David Fink is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker with over 20 years experience in the field of social work. He has had the distinct privilege of working with children and adults with varying issues such as abuse and neglect, grief and loss, substance use, and mental health disorders. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University in 2009.

David’s approach is grounded in Rogerian, person-centered principles and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). David strives to create a safe, non judgmental space where clients are heard and valued while helping them identify thoughts and behaviors contributing to their distress.

David is an interactive counselor who believes in focusing on problem solving and values while going at the clients pace. He is known for his patience and sense of humor while being fair and direct.

As a man, David understands the stigma associated with seeking help as we are often taught to “be strong” or “don’t cry,” which conditions men and boys to avoid addressing emotional issues. David can provide interventions and an environment that allows for people to express feelings without judgment. Whether you’re a man trying to navigate life’s challenges or a teen finding your way in the world, David can provide practical guidance for a healthier and more resilient future.

David’s a former ultra runner and college soccer player. When he’s not working, David is running or watching sports and movies with his dog, Charlie.
